Hey.. That must be very frustrating for you...for him not to want to get in the water!! I hope that next year is different for you. Nice pool there, is that in your neighborhood?
Last YEAR he did great and got in floats and we could carry him in the water and THIS summer HE is not having NONE of the POOL! YOU ALL WANT to know the funniest thing ever....this child will take 7 showers a day...LOVES showers! NOT the BATH TUB...JUST THE shower!
Hi Tam! I have been meaning to stop by and say Hi after all the comment love you left me last week or so. If I recall you said you lived in DC awhile back. I love running across people that are familiar with my 'hood! I can so relate to this whole pool thing. My son was the exact same way. He wouldn't go in, wouldn't go in, finally decided to go in, became a jumping in maniac, but wouldn't get his head wet so I had to catch him. Then he figured out how to go underwater, but wouldn't take off his floaties. Just yesterday, he took off his floaties and an hour later had the gall to tell me that some little girl there was still a baby because she needed her floaties and he didn't. Yeah, it works like that doesn't it ;)
ahhh, that is so sweet... I wish I were there to watch. all of my kids were fish. it's like everything else, hon. he will do it in his own time.at least, he brings a smile to all our faces.
Welcome to a visit in my head. These are my thoughts and my opinions on everything which mean nothing to anyone but me. So come walk in my world and leave with a smile.

They can be so funny about the pool. But once they learn how to get in (past the first step) you can't get them OUT anymore! :)

Maybe next year?? I think momma just needs to drag him in, maybe? Or get in with him?
That is how my boys were last year too. This year they are all the way in! :)

If he's happy on the first step, then let him enjoy it there!! And how cute are those boys????? Wow!
Too cute! My 4yo still goes in with a life vest that he loves. Will have to break him of that by next year.
What a little cutie pie!!! How old is he? My youngest, he's 3 1/2, some was like that too! Now he loves to be IN the pool, but with me holding him!!
Oh well, I'll just enjoy it because this little age doesn't last long. We just about have to blast our 9 year old out! Maybe next summer!
